General Information

The Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency is organising, on behalf of the European Commission’s Health and Food Safety Directorate-General (DG-SANTE), a cycle of 12 training sessions in the field of Animal Nutrition for competent authorities of EU Member States and selected non-EU countries.

The training activities on animal nutrition aim to spread knowledge and best practice in order to increase the level of expertise with regard to feed safety issues concerning all stages of production, processing and distribution of feedingstuff, including some on-site inspections of establishments involved in the production of such products. The training is delivered as follows:

Ø Course 1: EU Legislation on Feed - 6 five-day training sessions in Warsaw, Düsseldorf and Valencia

Ø Course 2: EU Feed Hygiene Rules and HACCP Auditing - 6 three-day training sessions in Budapest, Porto and Amsterdam

TARGET AUDIENCE

Staff of competent authorities involved in performing official control activities in the feed sector. with relevant educational background and general professional experience.

All candidates should commit themselves to disseminate the knowledge received. As the seminar will be conducted in English, it is necessary for candidates to have a good knowledge of the English language to facilitate networking and communication, particularly during working group sessions.
