GENERAL INFORMATION
The aim of the project is to provide technical assistance in the area of controls on Mycotoxins. This need is given by the increase in the number of SPS-related trade concerns between the EU and exporting developing countries, by the notifications in the EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) and the observations made during missions of the Commission inspection service of DG Health and Food safety - Food and Veterinary Office (FVO).
The training session will be conducted in English.
CONTENT OF THE TRAINING
The Course on Mycotoxins will tackle the following topics:
Topic 1: Introduction to mycotoxins
Topic 2: EU and international legislation and official controls
Topic 3: Mitigation of mycotoxins
Topic 4: Risk assessment
Topic 5: Sampling procedures
Topic 6: Sample preparation
Topic 7: Validation of analytical methods
Topic 8: Screening methods
Topic 9: Confirmatory methods
Topic 10: Quality management in the laboratory
TRAINING SESSION DATES
The training session will be held from 17 to 28 February 2020 in Madrid, Spain.
TRAINING AUDIENCE
All candidates must be staff of official food testing laboratories in charge of Mycotoxins controls. They should all commit themselves to disseminate the knowledge received. As the seminar will be conducted in English so it is necessary the candidates to have a good knowledge of English.
