GENERAL INFORMATION

The Consumers, Health and Food Executive Agency is organising, on behalf of the European Commission’s Health and Consumers Directorate-General, a cycle of twenty four courses in the field of HACCP principles and audit techniques mainly for EU Member States within the Better Training for Safer Food initiative. In total, 24-26 participants coming from selected Member states, Candidate countries and Third countries will be invited to each training session. The courses will take place in Budapest, Dublin, Ljubljana, Lyon, Rome and Valencia in 2016/2017.

The objectives of the specific training courses on HACCP principles and audit techniques under the BTSF initiative are to develop the ability to conduct audits to verify the proper implementation of HACCP-based systems by food business operators, taking into account their specificities and particularities and with a flexible approach. These training sessions are addressed both to officials from Competent Authorities involved in planning and control activities and field inspectors involved in control activities in food establishments. At the end of the courses it is intended that the participants can perform their tasks and guarantee the verification of compliance with the established basic and specific HACCP rules.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Staff of competent authorities involved in planning and control activities and/or field inspectors involved in control activities in food establishments, both with at least 3 years of experience in the area. Each participant should have good working level of English language.

NOTE: This is the second phase of the project’s implementation, which might result in similarities of the programmes with the first phase.
